Amazon Commits $15 Billion to AI and Cloud Infrastructure in Northern Indiana
Amazon is making a strategic $15 billion investment in Northern Indiana to build data center campuses aimed at bolstering its AI and cloud computing capabilities. The project will add 2.4 gigawatts of data center capacity and create 1,100 high-skilled jobs, while supporting thousands more in the supply chain.
Separately, Amazon Web Services announced plans to invest up to $50 billion in expanding AI and supercomputing services for U.S. government clients. The Indiana initiative includes an energy partnership with NIPSCO, projected to deliver $1 billion in cost savings for local residents and businesses.
